While swatting the moths that were circling the saddle-light, Old Sputterfly's tail got too close to the flame and caught fire! Nick held on for dear life as the two of them shot through the town like a rocket, flaming tail and all! Nick Brimmly and Old Sputterfly were never seen again. Legend has it that they were jettisoned into space and can still be seen at night circling the earth to this very day. That is why a smaller mass that orbits a larger mass is now called a satellite. (saddle-light)
interesting side note: In 1957 the Russians launched their first satellite into space. They named it SPUT-NIK ( after Sputterfly and Nick Brimmly).
