One of my favorite movie characters is Ace Ventura Pet Detective, so Illustration Friday's prompt of detective was a great excuse to do an "Ace" illustration.
PERFECT illustrations for IF this week! Love how that possum is wrapped around his finger! He's even got that great Ace Ventura like smirk on his face! and also...thank you for your kind compliment on my work!
Great work...and thank you for the nice comment. As someone trying to figure out the business of illustration, I appreciate the positive feedback, especially coming from talented artists like yourself!
fun illustration!!! definitely like the tail around the finger!! thanks for commenting on my illustration - I love working with scratch board - would love to do it more!! peace
Gee, you know I used to dislike Jim Carey with a vengence... but now I am warming to him after seeing your work. Lots of movement this one, and a lot of fun. It;s good how it's 'linked' with the last illustration as well.
Oh Yes! The great pet detective himself, if you want to crack a rib laughing he's the guy to do it my kids love the scene when he's running around terrified of the bats my youngest does a perfect impression of him. Excellent.
Heeheeehee...Hhm, yes, Jim Carrey. You either love him or hate him, so they say... But I think I'm going to call this guy 'Jack Carrey', and I love his incredible bulging eye!! ;D
Holy bat guano, Jack! How'd you get Jim Carrey to do a guest shot on your blog?! That is pure awesomeness. You got his chin and hair spot on. Hahaha! And I gotta tell ya, that's the cutest possum I've ever seen.
Well, as I live and breathe, THAT'S Jim Carrey! And if that ain't the cutest 'possum ever!
