Jason's mother gave him 7 pieces of silver to go buy a cow. Jason
spent the coins on a hockey mask, a butcher knife and 3 magic beans....well you know the rest of the story. However Jason's mother was never seen again!
Thought I'd stay on the fairy tale/movie theme since Ben Hare got a favorable response :o)
Thanks for all the great comments. You guys ROCK!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I like your 'tons, clever and dare I say, cute?
ReplyDeleteoops, make that 'toons. I thought I spent the other 'o' but here it is.

ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween!!! and thanks for that really nice note!!!
I hope Jason's mother is missing simply because she went into protective custody when she saw him coming with the hockey mask! Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteHahahahahha! That's hilarious! Hey, send him over to my place, I need some yard work done. :oB
ReplyDeleteThe giant will need a new catch phrase... Fee-fi-fo-fum doesn't quite rhyme with "knife-wielding, hockey-masked wearing, psycho killer." Funny as always, Jack, and the beanstalk has some sweet perspective!
ReplyDeletePERFECT for the theme and Halloween weekend thrown together! Time well "spent"!
ReplyDeletevery creative work, loved it! Thank you for your comment on my painting.

ReplyDeleteha - nice take on the prompt - love the creativity.
ReplyDeleteHey, well I came the other day and thought why is jack wearing a hockey mask, so I went and asked my three year old neighbour (he was in the yard sharpening a chainsaw thingy) whjat Jason and the thirteenth had in common - and suddenly I felt a pain in my foot and I realised his eight month old sister was gnawing on my big toe (left foot)
ReplyDeleteErr, great illustration Jack. I like it, it made me laugh, you would be a good dinner party guest I think (as long as you leave your friends at home).
Great angle on this one (visual)

ReplyDeleteI really like how you play with the stories and turn them into your original illustration :) This Jason and the Beanstalk artwork would be good to go for a book cover, which reminds me..I want to see the remake of 'A Nightmare on Elm Street'! Belated Happy Halloween! :)
