This is the first time in 2 years that I have posted 2 illustrations for Illustration Friday. This idea came to me after visiting Amber Witt’s blog. I thought it would be fun to draw. Thanks Amber for the inspiration.
Hehe he jack, I was wondering what was going on till I read your labels. Ahh you are the thinking manwoman's illustrator :) (Then what am I doing here myself, you ask?)
Beautiful image, once again you have misanthromorphisezed (or something like that) an animal into wonderful human emotion.
So succinct!
In Oz people of my parent's age used to drink cold duck (and porphery pearl - try saying that if you lisp) ! My parents are/were teetotallers by the way!!
I'm glad you did two illustrations - I (we) g et twice the fun
I'm off to google anthromopmorphozisedered to see how to spell it :)
Hahahahah! I don't know how you do it Jack but your expressions are always dead on and priceless. Cold Duck, huh? Is that right up there with Boone's Farm. My gram always drank Wild Irish Rose in a coffee cup. See, you evoked a funny memory. Good one!
It took me a minute to figure out what that shivering duck meant. Oh yes of course. COLD DUCK! Too funny! And some days I wish I had a genie bottle like your other character to grant me a few wishes once in a while. He He.
Great cartoon, Jack! I confess I didn't get the meaning until I read Amber's comment :) I thought it meant he'd 'bottled' going swimming! Do you use that as slang in the US (i.e. he's bottled it = chickened out)?
Haaaa!! So clever, Jack. Another awesome illustration. I was gonna say "another winner!" but I'm not that big of a fan of Charlie Sheen these days so I'm trying not to use that word so much. : ) Have a wonderful weekend coming up, dear Jack!

Wow! *blush* I inspired someone?! Likin' that! ;) ...Exceptionally done, Jack! Your toons are great!!!
ReplyDeleteThat was a new one for me.. did a little wiki search. ;) "Cold Duck is the name of a sparkling wine made in the United States" Well, cool beans!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea why a cold duck is bottled? Is Going Doodling correct - it's a wine?
ReplyDeleteHa! And unbottled is great as well.
ReplyDeleteBest served chilled! HAHA! I've always heard Cold Duck, but I've never had any. What an odd name for a sparkling wine, come to think of it. Whyyyyy?
