This explains Snoopy's unusual habit of sleeping on his roof. This proverb always sounded funny to me. It Really IS in the Bible. Look it up :o) I hope his made you smile because...
Cheerfulness keeps you healthy (proverbs17:22)
Apologies the late, great Charles Schultz

ReplyDeleteok, is that you on the roof?..LOL

ReplyDeleteHi Jack. This proverb is very true! Your illustration is beautiful .!!!!
ReplyDelete(Also, we can live with a pair of earplugs) ja ja
Congratulations!
ha ha, I always wondered why snoopy slept up there. great stuff.
ReplyDeleteNAGGING? NAGGING is in the bible? wow...i didn't think god knew that word. i thought that word came straight from "bewitched." first darren season. :(((
ReplyDeleteverrrry funny, jack! :)))
Wonderful strong graphic - love the snoopy reference.
ReplyDeletethanks for clearing up that mystery about Snoopy! (BTW, I call it "creative nudging" instead of "nagging")
ReplyDeleteHah, that explains why Snoopy's on his roof so much! The wife does look like a handful,I don't blame him. Great expressions on your characters , and great proverbs too - Cheerfulness keeps you healthy.. I'm a firm believer in this!
ReplyDeleteanother great piece from Jack. nice work.
ReplyDeleteHeh Jack, I admit I rushed over here expecting a lesson from the Bible, and boy I got a good one.... by the way, I see my wife is looking for your snail mail address, she is going to send you a piece of her mind.... I told her that she didn't really have enough for herself, let alone.....
ReplyDeletearrh
thanks for sharing :)
I willsend you the plastic surgeons bill for fixing the new crack in my face (I have zachary's disease)
my magic work is 'xhippin'... hmm
I had to see what you would do for this one, and you didn't disappoint. Wonderful illustration and an excellent take on the theme.
ReplyDeleteAs luck would have it, I am typing this comment from the inside of my home.
I love that this is in the Bible! God must have a sense of humour - either that or we're like his allottment - where he goes to get away from the wife
ReplyDeleteToo funny!
ReplyDeletethis is funny - never heard of this one! like the perspective, too.
ReplyDeleteNow why didn't I think of that? Our roof has a peak at the top, so I'll have to make sure the hammock is nice and secure. Wouldn't want Herbie to get injured, or anything. But first I have to ask him to fix the washing machine. And the printer. Oh, and the surround sound on the TV....
ReplyDeleteThe fuzzy pink slippers are a great touch!
ReplyDeleteGreat one!
ReplyDeleteHeheh. Snoopy is definitely one cool, wise dog. But, not so wise for marrying a nagging wife armed with a rolling pin!
ReplyDeleteHilarious as always, Mr. Jack! (^_^)
Ha! Another great one. Love those slippers :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! Have your beautiful wife seen this? I'm smiling... O love those slippers too!
ReplyDeleteoooo
ReplyDeleteMrs. Snoopy is one scary uh, Bow-wow
ha ha ha Jack! I always wondered why Snoopy slept on the roof. Oh, just too funny, made me laugh, even at 6 am! I really love the other quote you added to cheerfulness makes you healthy...I will hold on to that quote today.
ReplyDeleteGreat one!
xo
It is really funny! but it's true. In spanish in a more general idea there's a proverb that goes like this "mejor solo que mal acompañado" and my mom used to tell me that all the time when I was growing up (not that I stopped or anything...) Anyways, great illustration!
ReplyDeleteVery funny.... and probably worth remembering. Your art is always such a delight!
ReplyDeletethanks for giving me a laugh with this, great theory on snoopy's sleeping habits
ReplyDeleteha ha, love this, great slippers! Poor Snoopy:)
ReplyDeletenice reference! love it ;)*
ReplyDeleteHa Ha! I have all of those nagging wife verses underlined in my Bible as a reminder to myself! I love this! What a wonderful illustration!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy those fuzzy pink slippers and also, thanks for being such a nice person!
ReplyDeleteUh oh.... Snoops in trouble again!
ReplyDeleteDid he forget to take out the garbage before he went dog fighting with the Red Baron?
Well I can't say as I blame him... she looks like she's ready to knock him senseless with that rolling pin!
HAHAHAHAHAHA! Jack, Jack, Jack! So good to visit you again. This is hysterical beyond belief. REALLY?! Hahahahahaha! Shame on Snoopy. Wasn't he always trying to kiss Lucy?
ReplyDeleteI had a great time catching up with you. You've had a very fun summer, I see. The Star Wars Immovable piece is a HOOT and a half! Love it.
Have an excellent weekend!
